Scientifically, Aceclofenac inhibits the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX), which is involved in the synthesis of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are compounds that mediate inflammation, pain, and fever. By inhibiting COX, Aceclofenac reduces the production of prostaglandins, thereby decreasing inflammation and pain.
