Alivum SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet is a combination medication used to relieve pain and inflammation. It contains Aceclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and Paracetamol, an analgesic. Alivum SP works by combining the effects of Aceclofenac and Paracetamol. Aceclofenac reduces inflammation and pain by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body. Paracetamol works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, which helps in reducing pain and fever.

Scientifically, Aceclofenac is a nonselective inhibitor of cyclooxygenase (COX), which decreases the formation of prostaglandins involved in inflammation and pain. Paracetamol acts centrally by inhibiting COX enzymes in the brain, providing analgesic and antipyretic effects.
