Aceclofenac works by blocking the action of a substance in the body called cyclooxygenase (COX). This enzyme is involved in the production of chemicals called prostaglandins, which are responsible for causing pain, swelling, and inflammation.

Scientifically, Aceclofenac inhibits the COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, leading to decreased formation of prostaglandins. This results in reduced inflammation and pain in the body. It is well absorbed and metabolized in the liver, with its effects lasting for several hours.
