Zelpod 100mg Tablet DT contains Cefpodoxime Proxetil, a cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. This medication is suitable for both adults and children, but should only be used under a doctor's prescription. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria, helping your body to fight off the infection.

Zelpod 100mg Tablet DT works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall. This action stops the bacteria from multiplying and spreading, allowing the body's immune system to eliminate the infection.

Scientifically, Cefpodoxime Proxetil is a prodrug that is converted into its active form, cefpodoxime, in the body. It binds to penicillin-binding proteins inside the bacterial cell wall, inhibiting the final transpeptidation step of peptidoglycan synthesis, which is essential for bacterial cell wall integrity.

Adult Dose
