Scientifically, Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes critical for DNA replication. Tinidazole is a nitroimidazole that disrupts the DNA structure of anaerobic bacteria and protozoa, leading to cell death.
